Windows XP Service Pack 3

Well looks like Windows XP Service Pack 3 is finally out. You can actually download the service pack manually if you like now. This is the official release and not a beta or release candidate. Service Pack 3 will eventually be part of automatic updates, so if you don't care to get it now, you will eventually....unless you turned off automatic updates. I still have to update my systems as of today! Thanks to Adrian Kingsley-Hughes for the link on the his article at zdnet.

Looks like Microsoft did sneak a new on demand anti-malware scanner past us. Most would have been unaware of the new application if not for keeping up with various IT newletters, blogs and web sites, such as I do on a daily basis.
